Rock on Sistah-Friend!

The day I got married, everything fell apart. It was horribly hilarious. Matt got lost in the temple, there was a blizzard outside, my uncle got arrested, and we lost Matt's wedding ring in a cemetery . . . just to name a few.

Another thing that happened was during the reception, while the best man was clearly aware a speech was involved, my older sister and maid of honor was clueless that taking on her birthright would require public speaking.
She held up her glass of sparkling cider, and said, "Rock on Sistah Friend!"

This has since become a personal motto for me. I say it to everyone, use it as a signature in forum posts, and I've been told by a friend that she personally waits for the day I will say it to her. It's an affirmation. It's also my personal way of telling people how freaking awesome they are.

A month or so ago, one of my loyal readers said, "You need to make me a button that says 'Rock on Sistah Friend' so I can display it on my blog!" Thus came about the "Rock on Sistah Friend" Award. There are a few rules of course to this award.

1. If you receive the "Rock on Sistah Friend" award, you must post the button on your blog (in sidebar or in a post), and link back to Color Me Untypical.
   
2. Let me know if you receive the award from someone, so I can add you to our Sistah's Who Rock Blogroll, and give them my personal "Rock On Sistah Friend!"
   
3. In the post on your blog, you must give the award away to 3 other Sistah's who you think rock. Post links to their blogs, why they rock, and post the rules to the award. Also, let them know you've given them the award so they too can celebrate themselves and pass on the love.
